Abstract
The Authors in this work propose a new point of view in the treatment of bladder cancer in the female patient. Usually, in these cases, it is impossible to make a new bladder (ileal or colic), because it is necessary to completely remove the viscus; in this way from continence is lost. In cases of low grade and stage tumor — far from the bladder neck —, it is possible, after subtotal cystectomy, to remove the mucosa of the cervico-urethral tract, and anastomise the ileal pouch (performed with a simplified technique by staplers) up to the neck. The Authors report good functional and oncological results in the follow-up of these patients.
