Abstract
In 2021, a unique family statue was found during excavations at Gisr el-Mudir in Saqqara. The statue represents a standing man and shows his presumed wife on a smaller scale kneeling and holding onto his right leg. On his left side, his daughter stands in bas-relief holding a goose in one hand, and her father’s leg in the other. The statue was found in the sand not in the context of a tomb or a chapel. This paper will describe the statue and will date it based on historical and artistic evidence.
