An investigation was made of the dependences of change in the radius, velocity, velocity gradient, and acceleration of a liquid thread along the longitudinal coordinate on the viscosity of the solution, the volume flow rate of the solution, and the electrostatic field strength. An attempt was made to establish the relationship between the rheological properties of polymer–solvent systems and the real velocities, accelerations, and strains in a Taylor cone.
