A study was made of the effect of electrothermopolarisation on the mechanical and electric strengths of polypropylene and polyethylene modified with additions of low-molecular-weight dyes. It was shown that, with increase in the strength of the polarisation electric field Ep, the mechanical and electric strengths of the polyolefins modified with additions of low-molecular-weight dyes increase, but with further increase in Ep they decrease.
