Abstract
An examination was made of the theoretical principles of the process of pressing glass-fabric laminates. The main factors influencing the process and the quality of the material obtained were determined. The influence of the properties of the binder on the production of a stable, dipped glass fabric was studied. On the basis of the experimental work carried out, the optimum conditions for the processes of dipping and pressing glass-fabric laminates were determined. The results of the work have been used on new equipment introduced at the “Elektroizolit” CJSC. A considerable saving of energy resources and solvents has been achieved.
