Abstract
The study of mechanical engineering disciplines necessitates advanced spatial visualization skills to accurately comprehend the kinematic and dynamic behavior of mechanisms. This paper presents an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) application developed to specifically enhance the teaching of Mechanism and Machine Theory. Unlike traditional physical models, this Unity-based AR tool offers cost-effective, accessible 3D visualizations of mechanical systems on mobile devices. The application's effectiveness was demonstrated through positive faculty and student feedback, showing improved conceptual understanding and learning flexibility. This work contributes to advancing spatial visualization skills in mechanical engineering education through cutting-edge technology.
