Abstract
The described technique consists in a cytological examination of the material coming from the cervical canal after uterine contraction provoked by parenteral injection of ecbolic substances. By this method a certain number of endometrial cells is expelled from the uterus into the vagina and a rich cytological material is obtained especially in cancers of the uterus body, being the cells from malignant tumours more easily destroyable than those from normal tissues. In the four cases of cancers of the uterus body the cytological examination carried out after provoked contraction has always been evidently positive.
