After a review of the recent literature on ovarian struma, and a discussion of pathogenetic theories, hystological aspects and diagnostical methods, 4 cases of unilateral ovarian struma are referred. Micrographs are here presented of the hystological preparations on which diagnosis was based, strictly similar to those from normal thyroid. In one case, a syndrome of probable hyperthyroidism was found to be associated.
