Abstract
Biased-based aggression and cyberaggression are important societal topics, as these online risks have become more present and visible over the last few years. This special issue, “Socio-ecological Predictors, Consequences, and Prevention of Bias-Based Aggression and Cyberaggression in Early Adolescence” brings together researchers from various disciplines and countries to increase our knowledge of the individual and contextual factors that increase and/or decrease adolescents’ involvement in biased-based aggression and cyberaggression. We are pleased to present this special issue for the Journal of Early Adolescence. The call for abstracts was sent in the summer of 2020, with the goal of receiving submissions involving innovative research methodologies to investigate bias-based aggression and cyberaggression. The expectation was that the special issue would bring together experts in the area of bias-based aggression and cyberaggression across various continents and disciplines. Nine articles were included in this special issue.
