More than 20% of patients with systemic neoplasia will develop neurological symptoms and signs (Figure 1)1 and between 7-15% of these are due to nonmetastatic complications. If diagnosed early, many nonmetastatic manifestations are reversible, but if not, they impair quality of life and are potentially rapidly fatal.
