Abstract
The slag-free self-shielded flux-cored wire was modified by including graphene at concentrations of 0.00 wt.%, 0.15 wt.%, and 0.30 wt.%. The study's findings suggest that the primary constituents present in the deposited metal are AlN, Al2O3, Al2O3·MgO, MgO, and MnS. The graphene reduces the average particle size from 2.59 μm to 2.13 μm as the graphene content increases. The inclusion 2 count reduces from 1599 to 1527 when graphene is introduced at a concentration of 0.30 wt.%. The fracture mode shown by the deposited metal is characterized by brittle fracture. Without graphene, the impact toughness value is measured to be 3.2 J/cm2. At a graphene addition of 0.3 wt.%, the impact toughness exhibits a rise to 7.2 J/cm2.
