This paper discusses the computerization of the Fatiu Ademola Akesode Library, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos. It traces the history, planning and implementation of the integrated computerized systems. The paper provides a detailed overview of the planning process designed to help librarians make decisions about library automation. Practical suggestions are provided and the problems encountered, solutions proffered and planned future developments are discussed.
