Abstract
This article explores the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and what it means for information managers and information professionals. The GDPR represents one of the most significant changes in data protection and privacy law for 20 years and has significant implications for information work across the European Union and beyond. The article provides a general overview of the GDPR before addressing the question of the new data breach requirements and ways of approaching the changing regulations.
