Abstract

This article discusses the emerging roles and opportunities at senior levels within all types of organizations for information and knowledge professionals, and the new programmes being launched in academia to provide pragmatic learning experiences to address these challenges. It also focuses on the skills and competencies required to be successful in these new jobs.
