This paper reviews developments over the past decade in the clinical
investigation and management of children with developmental phono
logical disorders. It examines three aspects of this investigation: descrip
tive assessment procedures, patterns of disorder, and treatment
strategies. New approaches for clinical practice are described in all three
areas.
