This paper outlines the chief findings about the needs of teachers of
children with speech and language disorders, as emerged from a
DES-funded project at the University of Birmingham into the develop
ment of a distance-taught course. Teachers responded to questionnaires
concerning the desirability of particular topics in such a course. A
summary of their responses is given, and an analysis made of their
preferences.
