Abstract
Rising hospital costs have prompted many surgeons to develop office surgical facilities. This can be particularly useful in the type of practice seen by the otolaryngologist. This paper deals with the requirements for an office surgical setup, the scope of surgery that can be carried out in the office, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of operating in the office.
