Abstract
Program Description:
This miniseminar will focus on advances in the field of dysphagia. Dysphagia is an extremely common problem that has a profound effect on the lives of patients who suffer from it. However, there is little consensus on how to evaluate and treat patients with this problem, largely because of the lack of data-driven protocols. This miniseminar is designed to update the audience on recent basic science, translational, and clinical research in the field of dysphagia. It is anticipated that the talks will stimulate participants to think critically about how best to manage their patients with dysphagia.
Educational Objectives:
1) Evaluate the impact of dysphagia and dysphagia-related disorders. 2) Analyze new research related to dysphagia and how it impacts management of the patient with dysphagia. 3) Explore options for treating patients with dysphagia.
