Abstract
Background
Digital transformation is increasingly recognized as a cultural challenge, yet there is a lack of robust theoretical frameworks and validated instruments to systematically assess digital culture within organizations.
Objective
This study aims to develop and validate a psychometric measurement scale for digital culture, addressing a significant gap in the literature and providing a practical tool for assessing cultural readiness for digital transformation.
Methods
We first establish a clear conceptual definition of the digital culture construct. Based on this definition, we design a measurement scale and test it on a representative sample of 183 firms. To assess the scale’s psychometric properties, we employ confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM).
Results
The results confirm the reliability and validity of the proposed digital culture scale. The instrument demonstrates strong psychometric properties and consistent measurement performance across diverse organizational contexts.
Conclusions
This study contributes to academic research by introducing a theoretically grounded and empirically validated scale for digital culture. It also provides a practical tool for organizations to evaluate cultural alignment with digital transformation efforts and identify areas for cultural development.
