Abstract
Effective and efficient management of a special education organization requires timely, accurate, and complete information. A management information system (MIS), a computer-based information processing system, can benefit the administrator in the management of the organization. This article discusses in detail several steps involved in the establishment of a MIS in a special education organization. These steps include (a) the study phase, (b) the gross design phase, (c) the detailed design phase, and (d) the implementation phase.
