Abstract
The present study examined the Self Directed Search (SDS) response patterns of mathematically talented female adolecents to determine whether SDS patterns vary as a function of career aspiration group membership. The results indicated that the six personality types studied significantly discriminated among the six ideal career aspiration groups. These results support the hypothesis that mathematically talented female adolescents aspiring to careers in math and science significantly differ from their mathematically talented counterparts who do not aspire to a career in this area in terms of global personality type.
