The following error has been identified in the Glossary, p. 16–17:

Effective dose, E

The tissue-weighted sum of the equivalent doses in all specified tissues and organs of the body, given by the expression:

$$E=\sum _{\text{T}}{w}_{\text{T}}\sum _{\text{R}}{w}_{\text{R}}{D}_{\text{T},\text{R}}$$

or:

$$\mathbf{E}=\sum _{\mathbf{T}}{\mathbf{w}}_{\mathbf{T}}{\mathbf{H}}_{\mathbf{T}}$$

where H_T or w_R D_T,R is the equivalent dose in a tissue or organ, T, and w_T is the tissue weighting factor. The unit for effective dose is the same as for absorbed dose (J kg⁻¹), and its special name is sievert (Sv).

The following error has been identified in Para. 67, p. 46:

Cancer risk due to radiation exposure is dependent on the tissues, gender, and age at exposure. Risk models suggest relatively large risk parameters for breast, lung, and colon (Preston et al., 2007). The detriment-adjusted nominal risk coefficient for cancer in the whole population is estimated to be 5.5% Sv⁻¹.

The following error has been identified in Para. 138, p. 71:

Another method is to perform 4DCT in the cine mode, where the scanner operates without couch movement and acquires one respiration cycle of CT data at each couch position, before moving to the next position.
