Abstract
What are the effects of different types of networking of actors for regional economic outcomes? The article discusses the issue of the importance of different types of network ties for one specific sector of industry: multimedia. The article looks at the development of this sector from the perspective of economic regions. The research question is: What kind of interorganizational ties among multimedia firms are most likely to favour the development and growth of a multimedia cluster within a certain region? The study focuses on the difference between intra- and extraregional ties.
