AleksandrovičMichail Bakunin (1814–1876) was an anarchical Russian politician who had met Karl Marx and Proudhon in Paris. In Italy (1864–1867) he established a Socialist Party which adhered to the First International. Bakunin was expelled from the International because his theory of anarchic collectivism was in contrast to Marx's scientific socialism.
