Six species of the genus Acanthaegilips in Colombia are mentioned. Acanthaegilips ashmeadi, A. diazi, A. huggerti and A. venezuelensis are mentioned for the first time in Colombia. A new species is described: A. palmirae n. sp. is described, and the female of A. colombiensis is collected for the first time.
