Abstract
«You can prove anything with statistics» is a well-known expression, and this might be true if the methods are not properly used and/or the results are not reviewed critically. This demands knowledge about statistical methodology and practice in critically analysis. However, it is not only the researcher that needs this kind of knowledge but also professionals in clinical practice who will be informed about results from the research and put it in to practice. To use the results from research studies in a correct way in the nursing care the knowledge must first be evaluated by e.g. the studies limitations and validity. This article aimed at present a selection of possible methodology problems related to caring sciences.
