Abstract
One method of measuring patient compliance in clinical trials is the use of an electronic compliance device developed by Bayer AG. This device is equipped with a battery and is the size of a pocket calculator. A reusable electronic module is integrated into an exchangeable case. The exchangeable disk blister packages for 10 tablets are inserted into the case. The device registers the removal of tablets from the blister packages. A control and evaluation program can be retrieved by personal computer (PC).
