Abstract
Procedures are described for efficient adverse event database use. They include detailed procedural documentation, development and maintenance of performance standards, promotion of broad access to database information within the corporation, and use of periodic procedural audits. When adequately implemented, these procedures will increase the overall dependability and usefulness of adverse event management systems.
