Abstract
This presentation will focus on McNeil Pharmaceutical's method of managing clinical data from the final stages of data entry to the final archiving stage. We use a Decsys-tem-10 timesharing computer which allows us to monitor most information on-line with various systems. The management of clinical data is aided by various computer systems including a Clinical Tracking System, a Clinical Information Management System, a Clinical Study Status System, and a Tape Library System. These systems were developed from previously existing manual systems. The trend at McNeil is to convert existing manual methods into integrated computer systems. These procedures provide documentation for all study data files and efficient accessibility to related computer files upon request.
