Abstract
Efforts to discover why some executives succeed and others fail have cast an intriguing voyage that has lasted for thirty plus years. At the outset, which was either blessed or cursed with innocence, it seemed that the top people had uncovered the secret to the Sword of Excalibur, had become deified, and had gone about employing their fraternal secret. For aspirants it was only a matter of also coming upon that revelation.
