Abstract

These guidelines replace the 1979 Standards and Ethical Considerations for Assessment Center Operations. The primary purpose of this document is to provide professional guidelines for users of the assessment center method. As such, these guidelines include explanations of the most important concepts common to all assessment centers and suggestions which if followed should maximize the benefits obtained from use of this method. These guidelines have been developed and endorsed by practitioners who specialize in the use of the assessment center method.
