A theoretical description of the winding path of yarn on a warp-wind ring and traveler package with a tilted ring is derived. Amplitude and maximum helix angle of the periodic motion of the winding point are given in terms of ring tilt, ring diameter, yarn speed, spindle speed, and instantaneous bobbin diameter.
