The evolution of methods for the manufacture of coated fabrics has fol lowed a sequence as the three main classes of raw materials became avail able, commencing with vegetable oils and leading to the modern synthetic resins. Much of the current technique follows closely some of the practices de scrib ed in these articles. Part 1, which described the development of oil cloth, appeared in July TEXTILE RESEARCH. The following article concludes the series.
