Discussion of the method of determining twist in single yarns by the method of untwisting and retwisting to the same twist in the opposite direction, and description of an instrument, to be used with a twist counter, which indicates the end-point by measuring length. The instru ment consists of a pendulum operating in conjunction with a photronic cell, and the end-point is signaled by a buzzer. Such twist determinations become semi-automatic when done on a motor-driven twist counter.
