Abstract
In this paper, a new fancy yarn is spun by using the method of weaving, a new method of spinning fancy yarn is proposed, and the process, principle, and method of forming this yarn on the loom are described. The design of the pattern law was carried out by changing the number of core yarns, the number of weft leading roots and the distance of cutting points. The appearance of this yarn was tested and analyzed for quality assessment of unit pattern length, diameter, angle, and effect appearance, and the effect of pattern design on the appearance quality was also analyzed. The results of the tests showed that the unit pattern length ranged from 2.84 to 10.04 mm, the unit pattern diameter ranged from 5.82 to 11.84 mm, the unit pattern angle ranged from 8.1° to 43.2°, and there was a significant effect of pattern design on the unit pattern angle. The structure and appearance of this yarn are different from chenille yarn. This yarn has the unique organizational structure of woven fabrics, with better structural stability, and is called interwoven structural fancy yarn.
