Abstract
Computer simulation of spinal anesthetic dispersion was performed to help explain previously mysterious neurological injuries. The simulation clarified some of the factors affecting distribution of anesthetic in the spinal column and demonstrated why problems were experienced with small catheters. The research also provided valuable insight into the role played by anesthetical procedures.
