Abstract
11 experimental 5s and 11 control 5s were given the Rorschach test two times: The control group received standard instructions both times, and the experimental group were given instructions the second time which introduced a set to fake the test. It was found that both repetition of the test and the special instructions each produced significant changes in some scoring categories. When the effects of both repetition and special instructions were examined together, the instructions clearly carried more weight in determining change. This leads to the tentative conclusion that a set to fake the test influences the scores of naive Ss.
