To compare cognitive behavior, 4 langurs (Presbytis entellus) and 6 rhesus monkeys (Macaca mulatta) were run on tests of visual patterns and object discriminations. Langurs were significantly superior to rhesus monkeys in both, which suggests a higher phylogenetic rank for langurs.
