Abstract
When two small light spots moved successively and independently in straight lines, the apparent path of the second light was seen as curving in direction opposite to that of the motion of the first light. The effect of the first motion on the apparent path of the second light was considered a motion aftereffect. The phenomenal displacement of the apparent path was measured in all of Ss drawings and used as the index of the aftereffect. The effect depended on the direction of motion and the included-angle of the tracks.
