35 first grade children were pre-tested on eight number concepts. Then 10 boys and 10 girls were matched and taught number concepts through the active game medium. Using the differences between pre- and post-test scores as criteria, the results suggested that all children learned. The approach appeared somewhat more favorable for boys.
