Abstract
The Focus segment of the Journal pro vides a brief overview of research conducted to determine how a selected constituent group perceives changes oc curring in education policymaking and practice. In this Focus, Hunt assesses the attitudes of state directors of teacher cer tification toward such things as profes sional practices boards, the efficacy of teacher education programming, and career ladders.
