Abstract
C. Taylor Whittier, superintendent of schools, Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland, has a bachelor of arts, a master of arts, and a Ph.D. in adminis tration, curriculum, and finance from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Whittier began his career as teacher in the Chicago area and was later an in structor at Iowa State Teachers College. His administrative work began as assistant to the superintendent of schools in Oak Park, Illinois. In 1953, he became director of instruction in Pinellas County, Florida, and was later appointed assistant superin tendent in charge of the instructional pro gram in that system. He was appointed to his present position in 1957.
