Abstract
Educational leaders everywhere support the growing conviction that student teach ing is a "must" in the preservice prepara tion of the elementary- and high-school teacher. College teachers, however, or perhaps we should say those who prepare and employ college teachers, seem less certain about the contribution of this particular experience to success in the college classroom. Mr. Angell, of the New Paltz, New York, State Teachers College, and Mr. Laws, of the University of Minne sota, Minneapolis, did not uncover much enthusiasm on the part of a representa tive group of college department heads. Reports of further investigations will be anticipated.
