Abstract
Can a materials workshop be used to strengthen college instruction in profes sional courses and improve student teach ing at the same time? The experience here reported seems to support such a possibility. Beginning with the hypothesis that a materials laboratory can help meet the problem of individual differences, Mrs. Grambs recounts in this article the development of the project at Stanford University. She is Assistant Professor of Education in the Stanford School of Edu cation.
