Abstract
Laboratory experience in school and community is becoming increasingly the center of advance in the education of teachers. Some of the current trends in this rapidly developing movement are treated in this article. Mr. Andrews is Coordinator of Student Field Experience, College of Education, The Ohio State University. He describes here the long- range plan for professional laboratory experiences as recently developed at his institution. The suggestions presented by the author are applicable in teacher- education programs generally.
