Abstract
The Indiana Conference was the fifth in a series of national conferences with which the National Commission on Teacher Ed ucation and Professional Standards has been identified. At the Chautauqua Con ference, the creation of the National Commission was requested. Since its in ception in 1946, the Commission has spon sored the Oxford Conference, the Bowling Green Conference, the New Hampshire Conference, and the Indiana Conference. This summary is based on reports of the 28 study groups which discussed "Evalua tive Criteria for Teacher-Education Pro grams" at the Indiana Conference.
