Abstract
This article is the official report of the National Commission on Teacher Educa tion and Professional Standards for the year 1949-50. Members of the Commis sion at the time of the making of the report (July, 1950) were: F. E. Engleman of Connecticut, Chairman; Waurine Walker of Texas, Vice Chairman; John L. Bracken of Missouri; Marva Banks Lindsay of Utah; C. Marguerite Morse of Florida; Paul V. Sangren of Michigan; Martha A. Shull of Oregon; Ruth A. Stout of Kansas; C. O. Williams of Penn sylvania. Since that time H. B. Allman of Indiana and Philip Wardner of New York have been named to the Commission succeeding Mr. Sangren and Miss Shull, whose terms had expired. Ralph W. McDonald is Executive Secretary of the Commission, and T. M. Stinnett is Asso ciate Secretary.
