Abstract
One of the most encouraging develop ments in teacher education at the present time is the effort to improve the process of selecting and guiding students in this field. Miss White is chairman of the committee on selection, School of Educa tion, Syracuse University, where some of the most interesting and promising work on selection has been taking place. She is an instructor in the education orientation course mentioned in the article and is a member of the staff in Human Growth and Development in the preservice teacher- education program of the University.
