The relation of attitudes toward transportation system characteristics and the sensitivity of travelers to perceived differences in these characteristics is studied. A probabilistic model of choice behavior is used, and effects of attitudes are studied by examining how estimated elasticities differ among groups of travelers stratified on the basis of attitude.
