Breaking the Failure Pattern

Abstract

Many educationally difficult students, the so-called slow learners, are frustrated with a sense of failure. A major challenge to educators is to develop techniques for overcoming the failure syndrome. One method which has been found effective is the utilization of materials which involve puzzle and problem solving at the student's own level. These may be properly sequenced so the student is both challenged to act and guaranteed success from the start.
